Week 3, Thing 7: Technology Blog Post

I am working on a news video for my school. I have learned how to edit video, add sound effects, and play with audio functions using the Pinnacle software. It amazing how much work goes into a 5 minute video project. I have spent about two weeks working with the individual clips, organizing them, cutting and looping them, adjusting the speed, etc. I have also spent some time helping students learn to video tape. This project does include some of their work. The only main problem that I have encountered is that the video file size makes the program crash. I constantly have to save to make sure not to loose too much of my work. My goal for the future is to train our students so that they can take lead of such a video program.

Week 3, Thing 6: Flickr Mashups & 3rd Party sites

I reviewed several of the Flickr mashups and enjoyed montagr where I was able to do some montages for our school yearbook. Our teachers and students will love them. I also explored Flickr color pickr and found a wide variety of pictures with the same colors and hues. I don't really know how I could use that with my daily work. Then I went over to a link from Flickr toys and worked on a puzzle maker. I uploaded several images and they were converted to a puzzle. I am definately going to add a few in our school yearbook. I am uploading a sample of my baby's picture. Absolutely cute!
